Seeing is Believing

In addition to the conventional mains and generator powered units, more and more companies are specifying eco-friendly units in an endeavour to reduce unnecessary emissions. Here at Kensite we offer some of the greatest welfare solutions at low cost, low maintenance and low emissions, through the introduction of our solar powered units.

Seeing Is Believing

However, there are some sceptics who would question the reliability of such units, especially bearing in mind the British climate and the fact that the units would most likely be in constant usage.  In anticipation of this issue, Kensite will provide a fuel cell where required,
which activates in the event of depleted solar power.  This combination provides ample power 7 days a week.

How Does The Fuel Cell Work?

The fuel cell converts methanol directly into electricity by means of an electrochemical process.  The catalyst on the anode side oxidise methanol with water resulting in carbon dioxide which is conducted out of the fuel cell protons.  This is then transported through the membrane and electrons that generate the power, as illustrated below:

So Why A Fuel Cell Rather Than A Generator?

The fuel cell is an ideal collaboration with the solar panels due to the unpredictable energy generated from the British weather conditions.  What’s more, we consider it to be the most environmentally friendly alternative power solution on the market.
